Can You See?

Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.” - John 9:39

When Jesus came to Judea, a man born blind was given his sight and those with sight were made "blind." What a glorious paradox! Jesus created sight for a person who had never seen (not knowing what he was missing), which would ultimately end in spiritual sight." Yet, Jesus also spiritually "blinded" those who claimed they could see and yet refused to acknowledge His true identity.

By His very life, Jesus forced (and still forces) a decision. He said, "For judgment I came ...." People love to walk the fence with Jesus Christ, postponing a decision until all the information is in, but the Holy Spirit will never allow a person to play the middle. It is "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" with Christ. You simply have to decide.

Can you see?

The ruins of our own cherished plans often become the steps we take toward the true good that God has waiting for us. - Mark Dever
