So the Israelites brought a freewill offering to the LORD, all the men and women whose hearts prompted them to bring [something] for all the work that the LORD, through Moses, had commanded to be done. - Exodus 35:29

Do you have a generous heart?
When Moses asked the Israelites to donate the materials needed to build and equip the tabernacle, the people responded with freedom and generosity. In fact, they gave so much that he eventually had to instruct them to stop!
If you have a generous heart, you too will give freely. In fact, you will give until God says, "Stop."
If you have a generous heart, you will also give worshipfully. You will give to honor God, not yourself, or your legacy.
If you have a generous heart, you will not "write a check and mail it in." Your heart and actions will accompany your gift. Your deeds will back up your donation.
Remember this: Generosity is not a manifestation of your power or influence. It is rather the evidence of God's ability to accomplish His purposes through you for His glory. If you have a generous heart, you should thank Him for first giving generously to you, and then give.
He who gives what he would as readily throw away, gives without generosity; for the essence of generosity is in self sacrifice. - Henry Taylor
