So those who suffer according to God's will should, in doing good, entrust themselves to a faithful Creator. - 1 Peter 4:19

In light of all that he had written concerning the inevitable fact of suffering and its purpose in the life of a Christ-follower, Peter concluded with a final statement on the subject. He said that if you suffer according to the will of God (in His service, bearing His fruit for His glory), then you should entrust yourself to your faithful Creator and Savior, press on, and endure whatever comes.
To "entrust" yourself is to purposely and willfully place your life in the hands of another who is trustworthy. Is this my life? Is it yours? Can we really live any other way? Some might choose to bypass, if possible, the difficult consequences of an obedient faith, and there are others in this world who aren't given a choice. They live in the midst of the persecuted church.
Whichever situation we find ourselves in today, we have no other choice than to trust our Savior and Creator.
Play the man, Master Ridley; we shall this day light such a candle, by God's grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out. - Hugh Latimer
