Our History Must Be His

Before him there was no king like him who turned to YHWH with all his mind and with all his heart and with all his strength according to all the law of Moses, and no one like him arose after him. - 2 Kings 23:25

The Bible says that there was no other king like Josiah, either before him or after him, who completely turned to God. For Josiah, this was a testimony to his utter faithfulness and service to the Lord. Of course, something similar could have been said about Josiah's contemporary (Ahab, the wicked king of Israel). There wasn't another like him either!

What will be your testimony after you're gone? Will others say, "Before you, there wasn't another (your career) like you and after you the same was true?" We should all make a difference in this world for Christ. Perhaps no one, except the Lord, will ever know what we have truly accomplished. In any case, our history (above all else) should be His.
