The Spirit of YHWH will control you, you will prophesy with them, and you will be transformed into a different person. When these signs happen to you, do whatever your circumstances require because God is with you. - 1 Samuel 10:6-7

Have you ever stopped to consider who you are becoming? Samuel once told Saul that when the Spirit of the Lord fell on him he would be transformed into a different person.
The Spirit did and Saul was.
The Spirit of the Lord changes people. In fact, it is impossible for a person to remain the same after they have been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. If a person claims to be a follower of Christ, they should even be able to observe an entire life of change. Healthy children grow up and growth inevitably brings change. It should be no different with anyone who claims to follow Jesus.
The key to Saul's ability to lead Israel as king came in the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit. Biblical history clearly reveals that when the Holy Spirit departed from him, Saul became an utter failure and disgrace.
Are you the same person that you were when you began your faith journey? If so, then it is very possible you have never followed Him at all. Why? Sanctification means transformation and in time, we should all eventually become more like Him.
A church in the land without the Spirit is rather a curse than a blessing. If you have not the Spirit of God, Christian worker, remember that you stand in somebody else's way, you are a fruitless tree standing were a fruitful tree might grow. - Charles Spurgeon
