When he prayed to Him, He was moved by his entreaty and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Yahweh was God. - 2 Chronicles 33:13

What does God have to do to get you to listen to Him?
Manasseh, king of Judah, disobeyed God for many years, but it seems that God finally had enough of his rebellion. He sent the Assyrian army against the wicked king and his subjects forcing Manasseh to acknowledge his sinful actions. After these events, Manasseh was a changed man, but it was first necessary for God to severely rebuke him (and all those around him).
Are you living a life that is disobedient to God? Do you claim to be a follower of Christ Jesus? God loves you too much to leave you alone. Be warned. A correction is coming, and though it may be painful, it is good because the one God loves, He also chastens.
My son, do not reject the discipline of the Lord or loathe His reproof, for whom the Lord loves He reproves, even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights. - Proverbs 3:11-12
