Are you a legalist or a libertarian?

The legalist looks at all the commandments of God and says, "This is not enough! We need to clarify their meaning by adding more rules."

The libertarian looks at all the commandments of God and says, "These rules are not relevant anymore! We need to reinterpret them in light of current moral and societal standards. Some no longer apply."

Perhaps you are neither one or the other. The biblical Christian sees all of God's commandments fulfilled in the heart of Christ. He is simply a follower of Jesus whose greatest desire is to please Him. He doesn't see rules. He knows and sees the Ruler.
