What They Need

"I am not able to," Joseph answered Pharaoh. "It is God who will give Pharaoh a favorable answer." - Genesis 41:16

Even after Joseph was given the opportunity to take credit for his ability to interpret dreams, he gave all the glory to God. He was truly a wise man, in that though he did not have the answers for Pharaoh, Joseph knew who did.

I strongly believe that people need a word from God more than they need the opinions of men. God's Word is truth. Men's opinions may contain truth, but they are not (by nature) truth (in and of themselves).

I (as many of you) have often been approached for help, counsel, or advice with a problem encountered by another person (and we will be asked again). While I have not always had a solution to a person's problem or difficulty, I have often been able to give the wisdom of God from His Word. People need that a lot more than they need my opinion, and I (like many) need to remember the difference!
