Where Is Success?

He sought God throughout the lifetime of Zechariah, the teacher of the fear of God. During the time that he sought Yahweh, God gave him success. - 2 Chronicles 26:5

In our world today, there are many different formulas for success. Usually, these "formulas" involve a program or series of steps, which if followed correctly, offer the results you desire. Unfortunately, much of the time, these methods provide only a brief victory and prevent us from achieving more long-term sustainable goals. "Quick and easy" and "plug and play" just rarely work.

Before we pursue the next great "answer" to our organizational need, we might want to be certain that we are first pursuing God. Too often He is lost in our program or campaign, our efforts miss their aim, funds are wasted, and the only thing that is achieved is notoriety and failure. The work that makes His glory the ultimate aim will never fail, even if the world says it can't.

Success is never found in seeking it, but in seeking Him.

When God calls you to something, He is not always calling you to succeed, He’s calling you to obey! The success of the calling is up to Him; the obedience is up to you. - David Wilkerson
