Be strong! We must prove ourselves strong for our people and for the cities of our God. May Yahweh's will be done. - 1 Chronicles 19:13

When Joab, the commander of Israel's army, learned that he was surrounded by the enemies of Israel, he told his leaders that they needed to be ready to come to one another's aid should the need arise. Then he said (in essence), "Fight, and leave the results to God!"
Do you find yourself in a great battle today? Do you feel surrounded by forces that are out of your control, which threaten to overwhelm you? The battle is not yours alone. Neither is the victory or the defeat. The battle, the victory, and the defeat all belong to the Lord. All we can do is fight the enemy (too often our own "flesh"), be ready to help one another when in need, and hold to an important principle. Which is:
Desire God's victory more than your own, for if God is honored, then we win. If He is not, then we lose, no matter what victory we may claim.
Outside of Christ, I am only a sinner, but in Christ, I am saved. Outside of Christ, I am empty; in Christ, I am full. Outside of Christ, I am weak; in Christ, I am strong. Outside of Christ, I cannot; in Christ, I am more than able. Outside of Christ, I have been defeated; in Christ, I am already victorious. How meaningful are the words, "in Christ." - Watchman Nee
