The warden did not bother with anything under Joseph's authority, because the LORD was with him, and the LORD made everything that he did successful. - Genesis 39:23

Joseph, after he was sold to Ishmaelite traders, encountered many difficulties, but in all his trials he was never alone. Everywhere that Joseph went, God was with him and Joseph succeeded, even in an Egyptian prison.

Problems and difficulties are part of life. The question is, how do you survive (and even thrive) when such difficulties come? The difference, at least for the Christ-follower, is always "Christ in you, the hope of glory." If a person walks with God (and the Holy Spirit also lives in them), then they will ultimately succeed, because no matter the outcome, God will receive the glory whether that outcome is more life (a difficult life) or even a God-honoring death.

Do not seek to be successful. Seek to abide in Christ and in all things that matter, you will succeed.

Try not to become a man of success, but rather to become a man of value. - Albert Einstein
