The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they paid no attention. - 2 Chronicles 33:10

Many years ago, I was sitting with my two and a half year old granddaughter when her father called for her to come take a bath. She did not respond, so I nudged her and asked, "Did you hear your daddy?" She then turned her little head up, looked at me, and replied in the sweetest little voice, "Yeah, but I'm not going." That, my friends, is when that dear little child stepped onto some dangerous ground!
Such was the territory occupied by King Manasseh and the people of Judah when they paid no attention to the voice of their heavenly Father prior to the Babylonian invasion. In fact, as God continues to speak to you and I through His Word (and other means) today, He expects us to pay attention. If we do not, we too may find ourselves on dangerous ground.
I am pleased to report that my granddaughter realized her error before "things got serious" and punishment was averted. As His children, let us also recognize His voice, pay attention to His voice, and respond accordingly, before it is too late!
