Good News?

Then He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation." - Mark 16:15

Aristides, a second-century defender of the Christian faith, once wrote to the Roman Emperor Hadrian about Christ-followers saying:

"They love one another. They never fail to help widows; they save orphans from those who would hurt them. If they have something, they give freely to the man who has nothing; if they see a stranger, they take him home, and are happy as though he were a real brother. They don't consider themselves brothers in the usual sense, but brothers through the Spirit, in God."

Aristides made a good point. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is good news. The question is whether or not, by our actions, the world will ever see its goodness.
