Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I’ll tell the reapers: Gather the weeds first and tie them in bundles to burn them, but store the wheat in my barn. - Matthew 13:30

In every church there are those who do not truly believe. They say the right things, obey the right rules, and even claim the right Savior, but they are still not, "right." They are not truly His. Can this be? By their fruits, we usually know them. They rise in opposition to gospel advance, seeking to divert attention away from those activities that most glorify God toward those programs that most glorify self. The question is, "What can the kingdom-minded do about them?"

Nothing. Such counterfeits will always exist within the church and, frankly, God (alone) can (and will) ultimately sort it out. Our task is to keep our focus. A unifying principle for those who truly follow Christ must always be to make much of Him and waste no time entertaining the blind wanderings of those who will not.

Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand. The sun's rays do not burn until brought to a focus. - Alexander Graham Bell
