Because the land experienced peace, Asa built fortified cities in Judah. No one made war with him in those days because Yahweh gave him rest. - 2 Chronicles 14:6

Everyone appreciates peace, whether it is around the world, in their homeland, or just personal. We all appreciate it when it comes. Perhaps, because peace seems so rare.
Of course, world peace is a mirage. Peace within our borders may occur, but even in the U.S. we live with the lingering spectre of imminent conflict. Personal peace is even difficult to maintain, given the issues facing many today.
Why is peace so elusive?
Peace is elusive because only God in Christ Jesus can provide it. Agreed? Good, but that is not my point. My point is that you cannot "build" a sustainable life until you have it, until you have His peace. Conflict prohibits "construction." It is impossible to build a life, a family, a ministry, a church, an organization, or anything else, until you have peace. And true peace must begin with Christ.
His peace first, then you can produce.
The kingdom of God is righteousness and peace. True wisdom is never argumentative or quarrelsome. It does not strive. It maintains harmonious relationships with everyone, as far as possible. It is impossible to quarrel with someone who is filled with Divine wisdom, for such a person is peaceable. - Zac Poonen
