Sacred and Holy?

The Kohathites are not to go in and look at the holy objects, even for a moment, or they will die. - Numbers 4:20

ree

God gave the Kohathites certain rules about the transportation of the sacred objects of the first tabernacle. These rules were for their protection, for if a Kohathite even looked upon one of these sacred objects, he would die.

It is interesting to me that though these sacred objects of the tabernacle were not divine (in and of themselves), they were holy, because they were used in the service and worship of God, and therefore, to be handled with reverence.

What "things" do we use today in the service of God? Our faith, our abilities, our possessions? Do we consider these "things" sacred and holy before our Creator and Savior? Are they devoted, consecrated to Him as they should be? Are we?

Redemption is inconceivable without truth and holiness. - Roland Allen
