What Are You Sowing?

The sower sows the word. - Mark 4:14

What are you sowing? As you walk through your life and look back, what have you spread in your wake?

Some have sown discontent or strife and the fruit of their labor is division, anger, and conflict. Others have sown prosperity and the fruit that has sprung up from their labor has often been unrealistic expectations leading to shattered dreams. The obedient sower, however, has sown (or spread) God's Word, His truth.

To be clear, sowing the Word is not the same thing as sowing a message, ministry, or program. The fruit of such things is often not the eternal fruit of repentance that leads to God's greater glory. While messages, ministries, and programs are valuable, they are only eternal if they spread God's Word.

It really does matter what you sow for the true sower sows the Word.
